John McCain’s Plan for Peace in Iraq
Digby takes note of McCain’s strategy for ending the civil war in Iraq:
“One of the things I would do if I were President would be to sit the Shiites and the Sunnis down and say, ‘Stop the bullshit,’” said Mr. McCain, according to Shirley Cloyes DioGuardi, an invitee, and two other guests.
Brilliant. What’s he got in mind for Darfur, smacking the Janjaweed around a little? I’m sure that’s the problem in Iraq - no one’s ever told those guys to just cut it out…
Fuck McCain and his tough talk bullshit. We learned back in 2000 just what a pathetic sellout wimp this phoney truly is. Remember 2000, boys and girls? The Bushies push-poll/race-baited the South and said horrible things about McCain’s military service and his current mental stability. Plus, they totally bad-mouthed his family. And what does “Tough Guy” McCain do? Jack squat. He just bends over an asks for more, totally selling out his family in order to preserve his Republican viability for 2008.
Anybody, male or female, who lets their family be runover like that has no Maverick cred, no Tough Guy cred, and frankly, no cred at all. And knowing the corporate media’s gonna give him a pass, just like they do for Bush, just like they do for all the Rethuglicans, just makes me sick.
